When is the last time you OVERFLOWED with hope? Don't remember? Ah, but I bet you can remember feeling hopeless! Today the Spirit of God wants to come with His power to show you how to overflow. That means, be so filled with hope that you become a carrier of hope. That is good, isn't it?

Use today's verse as a bold confession for yourself and others each day.* As a child of God your inheritance is in Him. It is the Father's desire not only for you to experience joy and peace each day, but to be bathed in hope. Recognize hopelessness as an enemy of your soul. Refuse to welcome its presence in your life no mater what circumstance you are facing. The God of hope - the hopeful God - lives in you and is with you to cause you to be like Him-full of hope.

When we speak of Hope we speak of eager expectation. At times you may have had worldly hope for worldly things and become disappointed when your hope never manifested. I have been there too. However, if your hope is in the loving nature and kindness of God, you can come to the place where you embrace what the Father has "appointed" for you. It might look different than the picture you had, but trust me, it will always be for your good!

We have a loving and kind Father. He has made a way, through His Spirit, for you to live in peace, joy, AND hope! Why not start this year off refusing to live in fear, depression, and hopelessness! They are not of God, dear ones. But you are! And Hope belongs to you.

*Here is the prayer: Father, God of hope, please fill me/us with all joy and peace as I trust in you, so that I/we will OVERFLOW with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, and in my overflowing, may Your hope be contagious and may those infected with hopelessness be set free. In Jesus' name. Amen
